#AderaLovesBikes is a new initiative to gift bikes to underprivileged youth, inspire a healthy, sustainable activity and build community.

Launched recently by the Adera Development Corporation, #AderaLovesBikes is a partnership with Cycling BC, iRide, the Union Gospel Mission, and North Shore Mountain Bike Association’s Adopt a Trail Program. Together, they are raising funds and matching up to $10,000 for several great reasons.

Through Cycling BC’s iRide program, over 45,000 youth across BC will have the chance to try cycling, including 10 schools on the North Shore. For youth who couldn’t otherwise afford a bike, up to 70 will be given out to them. Funds will also go to the Adopt a Trail Program and help protect and maintain a trail on the North Shore.

This all goes to create a positive impact on the youth and community, encouraging a healthy, sustainable activity they can enjoy with friends and family. As of June 27th, they’ve raised $6,420, with the fundraiser ending July 31st. For more info or if you’d like to donate to this great local cause, visit aderalovesbikes.com
