Adera Cares
Adera is a proud sponsor of the iRide program, sharing our love for cycling and giving back to the youth in our communities. We hope that by making cycling more accessible and sharing the passion of the best coaches in BC, that the communities we live work and play in will continue to build on Greater Vancouver’s cycling culture. With cities developing increasingly cyclist-friendly bike routes, cyclists of all ages can enjoy some of the world’s greatest cycling in beautiful British Columbia.
At the end of March, students from Sunnyside Elementary geared up in Surrey enjoyed engaging and interactive exercises through a variety of fun activities.
Cycling BC’s iRide school program provides students with a fun, safe and effective learning environment that helps youth grow and develop their cycling skills to their full potential. Students learn from the province’s best – iRide’s coaching team includes aspiring youth racers, professional coaches with cycling accolades and passionate parents trained to coach.
Ben Chaddock, iRide Program Coordinator for Cycling BC, has a passion for coaching & mentoring cyclists of all ages. He has raced at the largest cycling events in North America and claimed the Canadian Criterium Championship title in 2012.
All of iRide’s school and extracurricular cycling programs are part of Cycling BC’s iRide skills & fitness pathway. Designed for children aged 6-16, this pathway provides participants with basic cycling skills, a foundation of fitness and a healthy appreciation for outdoor exercise with friends.
