It’s Easy Being Green

As one of the first BuiltGreen condominium developments in BC, Green has been created to minimize its eco-footprint in a neighbourhood defined by courtyards, ponds, waterfalls, and walking paths that connect with more than 80 acres of parkland.
 
While the water efficient irrigation system for the extraordinary landscaping saves water outside, low flow faucets and aerators in your home’s bathrooms, kitchen and showers conserve water inside. Green’s recycling program goes beyond blue boxes to include education, site signage and bins to separate your recyclables. Water recycles through the waterfall, ponds and other water features in the courtyards.
 
Green’s construction includes motion sensor lights that save energy by turning off when nobody’s in the room and the installation of Energy Star double glazed high-performance windows reduce energy consumption up to 12%. At least half of the light fixtures are energy-saving fluorescent, compact fluorescent bulbs or LEDs.
